I love giving gifts.

I mean LOVE.

When I pick out the perfect gift for someone I, I get all giddy. I cannot wait to see the look on her face or hear her reaction when she opens it. It’s such a YAY! moment and definitely the very best part of the holiday season.

Because gift-giving means so much to me, I like to carefully pick what I get for the people I love most. Sometimes it takes me an eternity to find what I know will be adored, but it’s worth the search.

And I’m not looking for the most expensive gift or the flashiest gift. I’m not impressed by bling. I am looking for the most meaningful gift. The kind of gift that makes a friend smile from ear to ear because it’s just what she wanted or needed (even if she didn’t realize it).

This year, in an effort to spare you from some of the time and stress it takes to find the right gift, I have created a list of holiday gifts that any girl (and maybe even guy) will love. Whether it’s your homegirl, a neighbor, your daughter, a cousin, your mom, or any other woman you care about, I think this list will help.

There is a little something for everyone, and they are all items that can make this thing called life a little bit sweeter for someone that matters to you.

Happy shopping!

The Happy Planner

(Starting at $24 – Price Varies)

I have a confession to make: I am addicted to planners. It’s bad. Every 6 months, I start hunting for a new planner to use until I find one that makes my soul smile. I’ve used many planners over the years that I have loved, but my choice for 2018 is  The Happy Planner. I actually found out about this planner from someone’s Facebook post and I have been in love ever since. I can customize it and it honestly makes me feel happy. I even bought a few as thank you gifts for the ladies on my planning committee who attended my #LearnShiftGrow event in October.  Like many of you, I love doing things digitally, but there is something to be said for a good notebook and pen. Sometimes, I need to flip pages. If you have a friend who would benefit from an awesome planner in 2018, give this one a try. And if you buy it, please get LOTS of stickers! 🙂

My Happy Planner

For Brooklyn Girls

(Starting at $22)

A couple of months ago, I started a new lifestyle brand called For Brooklyn Girls. If you didn’t know already, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York (and proud of it). Every time I watch She’s Gotta Have It, I miss home. Anyway, I wanted to start a brand just for fellow Brooklyn girls, so this t-shirt line was born. If you are from Brooklyn, or you have a Brooklyn girl you love in your life, check it out. Also, keep in mind that December 8th is the last day to order something if you want it in time for Christmas.

Fitbit Charge 2

For the last 3 years, I have been a Fitbit fanatic. I wear it all the time and I get pretty pissed off if I forget to charge it. The Fitbit Charge 2 is an awesome Fitbit device and it’s a great way to motivate yourself to stay fit. It’s also easy to enter friendly competitions with all your peeps who also use Fitbit (I bet more of your friends use it than you realize). And I also love that it syncs with so many amazing apps, like Lose It. Great gift for anyone who’s mentioned that they want to put fitness first in 2018.

Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer by Priscilla Shirer

Lasy year, a friend recommended this book and it has been such a blessing. I am in the process of reading Fervent again and it has truly helped me navigate a few challenging experiences in my life, and has given me the insight and tools I need to grow closer to God and to fight the good fight. I highly recommend this book to any woman who walks in faith and is interested in strengthening her relationship with God.

Fit Simplify Resistance Bands are effective when used correctly, and you can take them with you wherever you go. A great fitness-inspired gift for yourself or a friend and it won’t break the bank.  Now, that is my kind of gift.

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Curvy & Confident: 101 Stories about Loving Yourself and Your Body

( $10.60)

An essay I wrote is featured in this Chicken Soup for the Soul book, so of course, I think this gift choice is perfection. Women everywhere can really benefit from reading about how other women developed self-confidence and reached that amazing place of self-love. A great and affordable gift to share with all the women in your life, I think this is a great pick and I am so proud to have my work published in this book.

Love With Food

(starts at $7.99/month)

My best friend got me a Love With Food subscription when the company was relatively new and I just adored getting those boxes filled with goodies every month. It’s always nice getting anything in the mail that’s not a bill, and if you are a foodie like me, getting snacks in the mail is a special treat. The treats are tasty and are often items I never even heard of. I love the brand, I love their mission (ending childhood hunger), and I love the snacks. If you know a woman who loves a great snack and a great cause, check this company out.I have given this to several friends as a Christmas gift and no one has ever been disappointed.

Thrive Market

(prices vary)

I try to encourage the people I love to make healthy food choices without being preachy. I love a good slice of pizza or a piece of chocolate, but I also know that I can’t eat like that daily, I have to be mindful of what I place in my body. That’s why I think Thrive Market is awesome. It gives you a convenient way to make wise food choices at a reasonable price. You really can’t beat it. Check it out for yourself, or grab a gift card for someone you love.

 Stitch Fix Gift Card

(Starts at $20)

I adore Stitch Fix. A great service for ladies who would love a personal stylist but don’t have a ton of cash to actually hire one. I love every Stitch Fix item I ever purchased, and I think a Stitch Fix gift card will make any girl happy.

While I’m not a big jewelry person, I am all about pieces that share a powerful message. That’s why I really like MantraBand. If you (or a friend) have a mantra that you want to keep in mind as you make the best out of 2018, check out MantraBand to see if they have something that speaks to your vision and your intentions for the new year.
